State

Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate, G3P, is the Calvin cycle's exported product, a three-carbon sugar the cell converts into glucose or other organic molecules outside the chloroplast.

Show

Combining two G3P molecules, each from a separate completed run of six cycle turns, builds one six-carbon glucose molecule.

Watch for

G3P itself is not glucose — it is the three-carbon building block glucose and other sugars are later assembled from.
