to the StudyWalks catalog
State

The short strong acid and base list is fixed by structure, not memorized values.

Show

HCl, HBr, HI, HNO3, H2SO4, and HClO4 form the strong acid set; the group 1 hydroxides (LiOH, NaOH, KOH) and the soluble group 2 hydroxides (Ca(OH)2, Sr(OH)2, Ba(OH)2) form the strong base set.

Watch for

Every acid outside this list is weak by default, including the familiar but weak HF.
