State
Building a medical term means applying four joining rules: the prefix attaches directly, a root links a vowel suffix, a combining form links a consonant suffix, and a combining form links root to root.
Show
Four builds, each join named as it is made.
Watch for
The rules apply at each join separately. One term can use the root at one join and the combining form at the next, as gastroenterology does.
