The Gettier Problem

Gettier's 1963 objection: justified true belief is not sufficient for knowledge, because justification and truth can connect by luck.

A stopped clock reads 2:00. You glance at it at exactly 2:00 and form a true belief. Justified, true—and still, few would call it knowledge.
