This capstone traces one acute respiratory viral infection from a virion's initial attachment through the replication cycle, an oncogenic-risk check, vaccination status, and antiviral treatment if infection occurs.
Watch for
Each stage in this trace depends on the stage before it— a virion that cannot attach never reaches replication, and a replication cycle that produces no functional virions never reaches release, so treatment aimed at the wrong stage does not stop infection.
